Dr. Liu graduated with a B.A. from New York University in 1991. Dr. Liu's research interests then brought him to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and continued at Columbia University
where he earned an American Association of Dental Research Fellowship. He graduated at the top of his class with a D.D.S. from Columbia
University College of Dental Medicine in 1996 receiving both the Hannah J. Appel Periodontics Award and International College of Dentists Award for outstanding academic
performance.
Following dental school, Dr. Liu went on to complete a General Dentistry residency program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Liu has published various research articles and is an
active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Oral Medicine.
He has been selected as 2004 - 2010 One of America's Top Dentists. In 2007, Dr. Liu attained the prestigious Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). He is one of only 5% of
American dentists that has achieved this honor by completing 500 hours of continuing education and passing a rigorous 6 hour written examination.
